Grapetree on Long Bay Tortola, BVI is my number one vacation spot. I can sit on our private deck and watch the sun rise and set , look at the beautiful Caribbean waves, or walk down a few steps and sit on one of the most beautiful beaches anywhere. A morning walk on this long beach is enchanting. For those who don’t like the sun, Grapetree has a shared courtyard patio that is shaded much of the day, and the beach also has sections of sun or sections shaded by trees. The rental units are clean and well-stocked with linens, and much less expensive than nearby resorts. Finally, Melvin and his family who live in units across the courtyard are absolutely wonderful. If you’re looking for privacy, they are careful not ton intrude; however, if you want great conversation and information about the island, just begin a conversation with Melvin. For us, this trip is a yearly must do – and Grapetree is the only place we stay!

Grapetree Rentals is our favorite place to stay on Tortola, and our family has vacationed here for 30+ years. Long Bay is a beautiful and expansive beach with great snorkeling. The apartments are well equipped and offer amazing views with the beach just steps away. Melvin is a gracious host!
